Our Counselor In Training Camp (CIT) is a leadership development Summer Camp for kids 13-15 years of age. The CIT Camp is designed to develop skills that apply to camp, sports, school and life. Each participant will learn the fundamentals of leading games, sports drills and camp activities. They will learn age appropriate child development and the responsibility of working with children.

While learning the importance of service through hands-on training, CITs will experience all the fun of camp and building strong, lasting friendships. Each CIT will be partnered with different Camp Counselors to assist young campers in their daily sports and activities, and CITs will be evaluated on their performance.

The goal of the CIT Camp is for our junior counselors to have Fun and Learn while at camp. Interacting with campers and representing Sports Connection requires a certain level of maturity and we expect all CIT’s to be able to Listen, Learn and Lead. Our directors will contact all CIT Campers before camp to discuss our expectations and their responsibilities and any CIT Camper we feel is not the best fit for our CIT Program, will be issued a refund.

Camp Details

To REGISTER for any Sports Connection Summer Camp, or to just VIEW all the specific dates available for each camp, visit our Secure Online System to setup your Camper Information and then select your Camp Dates, Early Drop-Off / Late Pick-Up Dates and Lunch Dates. If you are already a Sports Connection Customer, you can LOG IN with your UserName (Email) and Password. If you are new to Sports Connection, you can easily create an account or connect using Facebook. If you have forgotten your password, simply click “I have forgotten my password”, or feel free to call us at 704-583-1444 to reset your password for you.

No problem. We have camp specialist available to assist you in person, or we can register your child over the phone. Just call us at 704-583-1444 and ask for a Summer Camp Team Member.

No problem. Just call us at 704-583-1444 and we will help you register for multiple days of camp and you can pay a $100 deposit for as many days or weeks of camp as you would like. The paid deposit will be applied to your camp balance. The remaining balance is due by May 31, 2024. (If you want to take advantage of any early registration discounts, the balance will need to be paid by April 15, 2024.)

REGISTER FOR CAMPS PER DAY (versus per week)
We understand most families have busy summers and cannot always commit to a whole week of camp. Therefore, we have changed many of our camp programs to allow for daily registrations. In the past, all of our camps required a WEEKLY registration, but now parents and kids can PICK & CHOOSE to register for camps PER DAY.

An Annual Registration Fee is required for all Summer Camps. The Registration Fee is $25 per Camper or $35 per Family.

Ballantyne – Sports Connection will have lunch (Pizza or Chicken Nuggets and Chips, Cookie and a Beverage) available for purchase, or each camper may bring his / her own bag lunch. Their will be time for snacks and beverages each morning and afternoon for all campers. Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase at the Sports Connection snack bar, or each camper may bring in their own. The daily hot lunch is $7 per day (plus tax) when ordered and paid for Online.

Northlake / Granite Street – Each camper is responsible for bringing his/her own bag lunch and snacks for each day of camp.

The Sports Connection will provide time for snacks and beverages each morning and afternoon for all campers. Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase at the Sports Connection snack bar. Campers are welcome to bring their own snacks and beverages as well.

Campers are required to wear sneakers and socks to camp each day. No sandals or heelys. Socks are required to be worn at all times in the inflatable area.

The camp counselors are full-time employees of the Sports Connection, Physical Education Instructors, School Teachers and other local Sports Enthusiasts. Our ratio is 8 to 10 campers per counselor.

Campers may TRANSFER from one day or week to another, at no charge, provided we are notified (preferably by email) 2 or more days before the start of the original camp date and there is room available in the new camp date. Changes made less than 2 days before the start of the original camp date will result in a transfer fee of $10 per day. CANCELLATION of the camp at anytime, will result in a $10 fee per day. The remaining balance will be issued as a Sports Connection CREDIT to be used for another camp or program at Sports Connection, or the balance can be put on a Sports Connection GIFT CARD to be used at any time in the future. There will be no transfers or credits allowed without at least a 4 hour notification before the start of the first day of camp.
